Check-in is from 2:00pm and check-out is by 10:00am. Reception is open 7:00am to 11:00pm.
Arriving after 11pm? Call 07 4058 3700 or email res@hideshotel.com.au before you travel and we’ll sort out your arrival.
Early flight in, late flight out? Leave your bags in our storage lockers and head straight to the Lagoon or the reef.

- Photo ID. Guests must be 18 or over to check in (that’s the law).
- A credit card for a $100 pre-authorisation. It’s a hold, not a charge, released after check-out if the room’s in good shape.

Good to know
Is my room cleaned every day?
No, and we’d rather tell you now than surprise you. To keep rates down, rooms are cleaned before you arrive and after you leave, not daily. Need fresh towels? Ask at reception any time and they’re yours.
Is there parking?
Yes, there’s undercover paid parking on site. Spots are limited, so let us know when you book and we’ll check availability. Ask reception for current rates.
Is it noisy?
You’re in the heart of the city, and Cairns has a lively night-time scene, especially on weekends. If you’re a light sleeper, pack earplugs and mention it when you book.
What's the cancellation policy?
Cancellations need 24 hours’ notice, and the policy is the same whether you book direct or through a booking website.
Staying a while?

Stay in a piece of Cairns history
Hides has welcomed guests on this corner since 1885. Today’s building dates from 1928 and is on the Queensland Heritage Register, with wide timber verandahs, the original lift and timber staircase, and a top-corner room known as the MacArthur Suite, after General Douglas MacArthur’s visits in the 1940s.
